It does this through integrated families of functions, in particular for budgeting and cash flow projections. One of the features is its day count accuracy when used for projecting cash flows.
Version 1.4 merges all the editions of BF into a single package, which means that for the first time the Real Estate, Banking and Petroleum functions are free. This is a toolkit for industry-strength modeling.
