BurnOn CD&DVD is a CD and DVD burning and mastering application. Backup and duplicate unencrypted CD/DVD media in 1:1 mode. Split DVD video movies. This application will not copy CSS protected discs and no plug-ins exist to do this. Create your own data, audio and video CD/DVD compilations. Extract data and audio tracks from CD/DVD media to individual files on your hard disk.
Version 3.1 includes unspecified updates.

"Much better than many apps that you need to pay for."
Pros: First off I like it because it's Free. Next, the wizards interface is easy to use for any of my projects. Quick and simple much better than many others that cost $40 or so.
Cons: Just the ad screen that comes up upon closing, but really it not that obtrusive. Just close the window. Understandable that it's there, because it's um Free!

Pros: Great free software! Very easy to use with lots of wizards to make each scenerio easy. I easily copied 8 home-made DVDs in no time. Easy download and no annoying ads or spyware attached.

"Will not recognize CD in DVD Reader"
Pros: Nice, easy to understand interface, don't know if it works, tho, because I wanted to copy a CD, which it would not do.
Cons: The program could not identify the disk I inserted into my DVD reader as a CD. Kept indicating that there was no disk inserted. It appears that if you want to copy a CD, you need two CD readers. Also installs AdWare.

Pros: easy to install and navigate
might work ?well? on data disks?
Cons: couldn't find a way to do dvd video--if it really does.
ditto for dual layer disks.
locked up computer with DL disks.
imgtool and imgburn freeware did just fine for me without grief
