"Great software. I have looked all over and for FREE this is the BEST"
Pros: It does all that it advertises and more. There are several different versions. There is the free one that is offered here that comes with every thing that most people will need and more. Then there is the Pro version that has lots of other features that I don't really know much about so I am not going to comment on it. And the best part and the reason I love it. Is there is a portable version that can be put on to any USB drive or probably any flash drive that you have. Just plug it into the computer you are working on and all your contacts and schedule is right there in front of you. It is a must try

Pros: Being able to file notes in a tree folder structure is great.
Cons: Haven't been able to determine if I can modify categories. This may be a deal breaker for me if this can't be done.
Summary: Most features stand hold their own against other PIMs. Other than that, on par with Thunderbird's Lighting (except you can't email from free version of EPIM.)

"One of the best I could find"
Pros: Spent hours looking for a program that hsa customizable categories. Working in the medical field where I need to make sure schedules are done and deadlines are met, EssentialPIM just makes my life much so much easier.
Cons: No network backup... people in my network need to use a flash drive to transfer information every time it is updated.
