From Neural Matters: BrainMine helps you visually capture or brainstorm information into a Mind Map. A Mind Map is a visual representation of information, which naturally prompts your brain to expand upon it. Mind Maps are used to communicate useful information between people efficiently, regardless of their prior level of knowledge on the subject.
Version 2005.11.06 introduces a new Export as Image feature, along with bug fixes and improved documentation.

There's not always a whiteboard handy when inspiration strikes. For those occasions, there's BrainMine Standard. This brainstorming programs helps you draw those familiar ""mind maps"" with your main concept in the center and a tree of ideas growing off of it. The program provides an adequate amount of editing tools, producing good-looking diagrams and quickly redrawing them as you make changes. We especially like being able to click and drag branches to change their shape and position. Oddly, however, the program doesn t let you cut and paste branches. Nor does it allow you to annotate idea nodes with text or even links. Happily, the newest version of the program will export to BMP, JPEG, and GIF formats, which will be a boon to anyone who wants to use BrainMine to make PowerPoint slides. All things considered, BrainMine Standard will help anyone who brainstorms on a regular basis.
