From Factor Software: Boom is an arcade game in the grand tradition, bringing the playability and feel of 8-bit console games to the Macintosh. As a space trooper, your mission is to penetrate 8 alien infested areas, each one divided in 10 sub-zones, eliminate all enemies using your bombs and finally kick the Big Alien Boss back to where he came from. Classic arcade fans will love this game, and we'll bet that even the most advanced gamers will enjoy it too. The gameplay consists of strategically placing bombs to blow up aliens before they get to you. With a classic arcade feel, the game is fully 2D, offering smooth sprite-based animations, eight soundtracks, 80 levels of bomb-exploding action, and a final "Boss" character that will challenge your bombing skills. We like this game not only because it allows us to relive the good old days; it offers plenty of action for beginners to even the most seasoned, trigger-happy veterans.
