BlitzCalc supports many standard and special functions (like sine, standard deviation or molecular mass) and constants (like pi or electron mass). It is good for designers, programmers, scientists, and other users who are interested in simple ways to make calculations.

Version 1.0.3 adds realtime syntax coloring. The program was optimized for slow computers.

Everyone knows that Windows Calculator is homely and weak. BlitzCalc isn't weak. However, it is rather ugly. This is an application for hard-core number crunchers. BlitzCalc supports powerful features such as variables, boolean operators, and translation to binary, octal, and hex. Through the clever use of hot keys, BlitzCalc even can evaluate mathematical expressions (2+2, say) in other applications and paste the result. That's very cool. Nevertheless, BlitzCalc's arcane toolbars and clunky, plain-text input windows will make math-phobes recoil in horror. Also, in some of our tests, the program demanded a ridiculous 18MB of memory when idle. Engineers and assorted geeks will find lots to like in BlitzCalc. But those simply looking for a new calculator will want to find a more attractive package.
