BerBible is simplified Bible freeware that includes the complete ESV and NKJV Bibles at no cost. The learning curve is all but trivial because only the essential functions are implemented: go-to verse reference and search for word(s). Searching is extremely fast, intuitive, and very flexible. On most computers, BerBible is running immediately after you launch it, and searching is as fast as you can type.

BerBible also works great on obsolete computers that are too slow for software oriented to Bible scholars. It doesn't assume a high resolution monitor and latest hardware. Its small download size is optimized for people with a slow, unreliable, and/or expensive Internet connection. BerBible includes extensive documentation oriented to people with relatively minimal computer experience, including tutorials, context sensitive help, and animated slideshows. Version 2.4 includes unspecified updates.

  Pros: Best Bible search software out there!

  The simplicity of use.

  The speed of the searches.

  And the bible versions available. KJV ESV NKJV and now the NET Bible. All for free!

  Pros: As the webmaster responsible for links on our website, I personally downloaded and tested this Bible software on my home PC, for usefulness and functionality. Other than the fact that some of the modules don't have the 'Words of Christ in Red' (something I'm told is outside of BerBible's control), the Berean Bible is a very nice program.
