Though this program is missing a couple of nuts and bolts, we can't complain about its effective system cleanup. Awin System Cleaner's interface wont win any design contests, but it's comprehensible. The Registry cleaner performed a slow, deep scan and found plenty of faulty entries including application paths, custom controls, and help file leftovers. Though the scan was sluggish, the program quickly repaired everything. The disk clean feature found several obsolete and space-hogging files and effectively removed them as well. It effectively removed unwanted toolbars, buttons, and menus in Internet Explorer. Though it doesn't have full-blown tracks cleaning, this application cleans some system areas and IE histories, although that's the only browser coverage you'll get. You'll gain a bit more control over what is allowed on your machine using this software with its URL, cookie, and start-up-program managers. We're surprised the program doesn't have a file-shredding utility for secure file deletion. Even so, Awin System Cleaner is a good choice for improving your system's performance with some privacy protection to boot.
