AuthorPOINT Lite is a free PowerPoint to Flash converter. This freeware PPT to Flash conversion tool is very easy-to-use and can convert both .ppt and .pps to .swf Flash. AuthorPOINT Lite converts and uploads presentations to AuthorSTREAM and WiZiQ, the online services that retain PowerPoint effects on the web like PowerPoint animations, rehearsed timings, sounds and gifs. It is Windows Vista and Office 2007 compatible. Here's how it works: AuthorPOINT Lite > import presentation > AuthorSTREAM/WiZiQ > send URL securely to one or many. So users don't need to send PowerPoint attachments in email and there is no presentation replication. Users can also get unique code for presentations uploaded to AuthorGEN's presentation sharing platforms, which can be used to embed presentations in sites, blogs and social networking site profiles.

Version 3 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

  Great Program, Minor Glitches

  Pros: I tried downloading (and eventually uninstalling) a plethora of trial programs that converted PP -> Flash, but this free one did the best and integrated easily with PowerPoint 2007. I had an issue on playing sound, but customer service promptly answered me in 24 hours!

  Cons: There are minor glitches with the program only found if automating several animations on one slide. Strangely enough, I found after trying the $299 trial of authorPoint that it had the SAME (minor) audio and video glitches. Go with the free one, authorPoint Lite!
