Auslogics Disk Defrag

Better. Faster.

Pros: I never really saw the benefit of downloading a defragmenter since Windows already comes with one, and I didn't see how such a simple application could be significantly improved upon. After deciding to give it a try since I use other Auslogics programs, I was surprised to find that this application does a much better job than the Windows defragmenter and does it more quickly.

Cons: nothing

Auslogics Disk Defrag

GOOOD BUT........

Pros: This is a very fast disk defragmenter and of course it's much faster than the built in windows version. Also i do like the easy to use setup and i love the colours whilst it's under way ( that's a nice touch too) And of course we ALL love free software he he! And you get Bi monthly updates which can't be a bad thing.

Cons: But it just doesn't do a complete job of defragmentation. I mentioned the same thing last year and a few other people made the same comment too. Recently my computer seemed to be getting slower. Firstly i thought it was some nasties on my computer, but checked out ok. I am running anti spyware, anti virus, cleaning my hard drive etc and defragging using Auslogics. So i went to the windows Disk defagmenter and the files were spread out all over the place! I then compacted the files further using windows and my computer is running much faster now!

Yes Auslogics is very fast but it's just not efficient enough for me, sorry. So I am now trying out the latest version of IOBIT Disk Defrag and i will let you know how it goes.

Excellent disk defragmenter

Pros: Auslogics Disk Defrag is the best freeware disk defragmentation software in my opinion. It is very easy to use and defragments your hard drive much faster than the defragmentation program included with Windows. It also allows you to defragment external drives such as USB "thumb" drives and MP3 players, such as the iPod Nano. I highly recommend the usage of this product to anyone who doesn't want to pay for programs such as Diskeeper.

Excellant program - fast, efficient, intuitive & FREE

Pros: If you tired of using the Windows Defragmenter that seems to take forever, try this. You will not be disappointed.

Cons: After defragmentation is complete you will notice on the right side of the window that the program informs you that an incredible amount of junk folders had been found. My computer knowledge is advanced, and my machine is very clean. I have several programs to protect my investment. This program claimed to have found 396 junk folders. This is a marketing scheme to get you to buy their premium software for $30. To test it, I downloaded the other program and ran the junk folder finder. It found 6, not 396. Dishonesty and deception are two things that I will not tolerate.
