This simple recorder doesn't differ in functionality from similar programs, but we liked its straightforward design and configurable hot keys. Audio Record Wizard compresses the audio into VBR-supported MP3 or OGG files to save disk space. If you need to digitize your cassettes or vinyl records, you'll appreciate the option that limits recording time. Finally, the built-in scheduler will help you record Internet radio transmissions. The Voice Activation System, which pauses recording during silent periods, turns the program into a voice recorder. However, to get this feature to work properly, you may need to play around with the threshold control. Still, Audio Record Wizard's balanced feature set works well for nonprofessional use if you can live with the rather restrictive trial limitation.

Version: Audio Record Wizard 3.98

"too short!"

Pros: Good product, rips nicely, especially if you are listening to the radio at work.

Cons: 3 minutes cuts from 30 seconds to 120 seconds off your fav songs. Songs range from 2.40 to 5 minutes. Therefore, it stinks for song recording. Others are better.

"GRRRREAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!"

Pros: I recorded myself playing guitar the other day on my computer and i was having a hard time converting it into a mp3 with all the regular programs(musicmatch etc.)So I downloaded this program to convert the wav file into mp3 and within one minute, I kid you not, I had the file converted.This program is great!!!
