  The software is good, especially for free, however you need to make sure that your computer is fast enough to ensure you don't get skipping during your recording. A few things to look out of is this. If using a mixer to record out and record into the computer, make sure your line in settings in windows is set to the same speed as your mixer software on the laptop. Mine was set to 48000Hz for line in, mixer software but Audacity was set to 44100Hz which still worked. You can run Audacity at 48000Hz also but don't go higher than 44.1 or 48. Ensure that the computer has minimum software installed so that laptop resources aren't consumed by other processes. This is for the sound card but more importantly for the recording so that skips don't happen. Also make sure your hard drive is fast enough for the recording, otherwise skips will happen. Remove any anti virus software so that random scans don't happen during recording. This will screw with the music coming from line in which is being written to memory. All in all, it's great software but just make sure your computer is schmick and clean so you get the best recording from it.

  No words to express pros. If there is better than this than it will not be free. I have tried many but they come anywhere near to Audacity - Simple and free no need for tutorial. There are no better than this yes there are others more complex but not free.

  Very easy to use A place to get your feet wet in the voiceover world. I got this course name audacityflex this help me a lot to be a professional also I got 100 super kool sound effects. I suggest you guys looking of this on google the name is aduacityflex. It's a very straight interface, and gets better as you learn the functions.

  Very easy to use out of the box. A place to get your feet wet in the voiceover world if not to learn more serious recording. It's a very straight interface, and gets better as you learn the functions.

  Later on you'll start getting a bigger bat to swing with as you start getting industry standard equipment. But this doesn't mean Audacity can't be a part of the recording process as you are familiar with it's functions and still provides solid software punch

  It can probably do a lot of things IF you are already an expert.

  Impossible to fully use unless you are a sound engineer. Help pages are useless. Don't bother downloading if you do not have an engineering degree.
