Whether you are a buyer or a seller, this online auction tool can streamline and automate the transactions you make through eBay auctions. Auction Sentry automates bidding by placing your bid as close to the end of the auction as possible (referred to as 'sniping'). The intuitive interface displays your auctions in a color-coded grid, indicating which auctions you are winning, which you have been out-bid on, and which you have set up a snipe bid for.

Auction Sentry tracks all auctions and has a configurable refresh rate (five minutes by default). Auction Sentry can also be configured to alert you when an auction you are tracking receives a bid. Auction Sentry features eBay Fixed Price item listings, clock synchronization, the ability to load auctions that are on your eBay Items I'm Watching page, enhanced Alerts options. Optimized to run on all versions of Windows including Vista. Version 3.0.10 includes unspecified updates.

  New software update is corrupted PLEASE READ. Many angry customers.

  Pros: DO NOT BUY THE CURRENT VERSION!!! The original owner of Auction Sentry sold to "AUCTIVA", a third party ebay software company. New software won't work. Read Below...

  Cons: Everyone who has a current PAID version of Auction Sentry (Deluxe) and has downloaded the latest update 27 February 2008, has found their AuctionSentry software to be corrupt and will not load. Go to their website and read their own forums.

  Software Error Code:

  "Error attemption to validate registration. Please try again or contact support."

  We have attempted to contact AuctionSentry and Auctiva to quickly resolve this problem. NO RESPONSE. AuctionSentry's own public forum has everyone complaining about their program not working. It appears to be a breach of contract for terminated services that have been paid. This use to be the BEST auction snipe program. After the original owner/programmer Daniel Hite sold out a couple months ago, the new owners have flopped and harmed many ebay buyers.

  AuctionSentry has changed their terms of service. Some have found the changes might require a fee for every auction you bid on...

  DO NOT BUY THE BASIC VERSION! IT IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED!

  Pros: The basic version is a great program - FOR NOW. The software was bought by another company and they aren't supporting the basic version anymore. When eBay makes its next change basic version users will be out of luck. Your only option will be to upgrade to their deluxe version which is FULL OF BUGS and SPYWARE!

  Cons: This used to be a great program! Every update was an improvement! Those days are gone now that a new company has taken over the program! The only good thing the new owners did was add a user forum to their site. Go see how the users are complaining about all the new bugs:

  You have to remove the spaces above for the address to work. They have released 5 new versions of the deluxe since last week. All contain bugs. There was nothing wrong with the previous version but they put out a new version just to change how users register and to track what we are doing on eBay. Countless users have been unable to use the software since their new registration scheme doesn't work! The only good thing they have done is add a

  user forum to their site. Go there and read all the complaints before you buy this turkey!

  Spies on users! In the past two days two different people posted in their forums that the program's browser no longer takes users directly to eBay (though it gives the appearance that it does). Since these new guys took over the browser takes you to the following URL when you tell it to go to an eBay listing page:

  h t t p : / / c l a s s i c . a u c t i v a . c o m / t r a c k . a s p x ? p s = 4 0 & l o c = 3 & s i t e I d = 0 & d e s t u r l t y p e = 1 & i t e m n u m = (item number)

  Try it for yourself. Paste that URL into your browser only add an eBay item number to the end and remove the spaces. It goes to Auctiva's server and then is redirected to the eBay listing page. They are tracking which auctions their users are viewing! There was no disclosure of this to their customers. Whenever anyone asks about it in their user forums their posts are deleted and threats are made by the moderator. Go to their message boards and post about it there and see what happens to your post. GONE! They don't want anyone knowing what they are up to.

  Just Plain Cr*p... 3.0 and the company blow... no support take your money and burn it avoid the pain...

  Pros: I uninstalled this cr*p so fast... it is won't register, and there isn't ANY customer support... NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS TRASH...

  Cons: I Hate everything about this garbage....

  Cons: Their new program does not work, they still take your money though. Support does not even return emails, their forum is a joke.

  Latest Version May Shaft You!

  Pros: Until the most recent version this software was great. I never had any issues with it. Then I got a notice to "upgrade" a few days ago. Now my Auction Sentry doesn't work at all. I give it two stars for old times' sake.

  Cons: So much for smooth updates. My AS is dead in the water and all I get from their customer support is some lame crap asking for my registration information, and telling me to re-install. This just after I recently paid more money for the annual subscription. I haven't yet decided whether to try further to straighten this out or just to bail and find a competing package.
