• Best Apps Are Invisible

  Pros

  The best apps are invisible and unobstructive until you need to use it. Just drag to your trash can as you'd normally do and it simply prompts you if you want to delete all related files too. Delight to use.

  It do what its does really well, not a bloatware, has very small footprint, and it FREE! Can't asked for anymore.

  This app help me hunt down those little system cluttering files that is often left behind after a regular uninstall or app delete. It will keep your system clean of unassociated files no longer in use by any apps.

  cleans over 80% of all apps-files

  Cons

  it doesn't clean every single file linked to any and every app. But it is free and is doing a decent job.

  decent freeware product doing what its stated purpose is without being intrusive. Generally leaving only a few files of any deleted app.

  i don't know why some people are having problems getting this pref pane to work; it's been working on my Mac Pro for probably a year or so with no difficulties, and i've just installed it on my new MacBook Pro and encountered no problems there either (both of these machines are running Snow Leopard). people who are getting errors and failures to load: have you gone to the developer's site to see if this is a known problem, or contacted the developer to ask what might be causing it? that's probably where i'd start. it's worth pursuing; this pref pane is a must-have, imho. good luck!<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Sep 30, 2010<p/>i'm not sure how chucktr and thebubbasplace are installing this thing, but i installed it the way i install all prefs panes that don't come bundled in an installer package: i double-clicked it. and the fact that thebubbasplace is "hunting" for AppTrap in order to install it makes me think she or he may not be the most experienced user out there; removing a pref pane is very simple process that involves no hunting. you simply drag the pref pane out of your System Preferences window and it's uninstalled. and even if you want/need to take a more manual approach for some reason, all you need to do is search "apptrap" in Spotlight to find any of AppTrap's files and delete them; again, no hunting involved. i can't be sure of course, but i'm thinking these "unable to load" problems might just be the product of some user error along the way.

  Obviously none.

  Cons

  Neither install (there are 2 choices) worked for me though it showed in the system preferences window. Then you've got to hunt for it to trash it and it can be in one of two pref pane folders, depending on how you installed it. Total waste of time.
