Start by running your free scan to see a complete list of your drivers and software and all available updates. After purchasing VersionTracker Pro you can begin downloading every update you need, and you'll always be the first to know when upgrades for your drivers and software are available.
Updates to version 4.1 include the following: improvements to free trial scan so users have to ability to click through the interface and view information on individual software and drivers that are out of date; improved matching with Dell configurations - more accurately identifies Dell hardware specifications to refine scan results; and fixing a bug that would cause version 4.0 to crash when applications containing Unicode characters were scanned.

"Probably the highest rating.."
Pros: Now I can say that VesionTracker has changed their definition of the word "trial", now, I have the ability to update one driver or program which is a nice thing.
Cons: Something is missing, I mean It is still not perfect yet. Looking for the next version.

"You can get your updates for FREE!!!!"
Pros: Try windows update.
Cons: Save some cash to get something worthwhile. Cnet kill this program once and for all. It's a rip-off.

Pros: It does what it says. There is some novelty in having it all in one place.
Cons: Not sure how useful this is. Windows has a lot of the drive update functionality built into Windows update. Where Microsoft apps involved those are handled by Windows Update as well. There is no shortage of third party apps with built in update functionality. Too much over lap to warrant %30 in my opinion.

Cons: Just a tedious time waster, by making you pay before you use it. Bad thing is that you don't even get to see which software may be outdated. Just a whole list of red and greens. Trust, you wouldn't want to use it. Who knows? Maybe false positives are included too.
I also see this software as kind of biased. I say this because it said "improved configuration" for Dell PCs.

Pros: it tells you what's out of date with your hardware and software after scanning. But if looks to me like you have to buy it if you want anything other than a list of outdated programs.
