With AoA Audio Extractor, you can extract audio tracks from AVI, MPEG, MPG, DAT, FLV,WMV, MOV, MP4, and 3GP video files and save them as MP3, WAV, and AC3 formats. It can also be used to save any portion of the audio of a video file.

"Yet again another Fraud. Very misleading!!!"

Pros: Extracts only from your "own" files, NOT online from YouTube for example.

Cons: THIS "DOES NOT" EXTRACT FROM VIDEO OR ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER.

Version: AoA Audio Extractor 1.2.2

"works great! fast & convenient."

Pros: Extracting a MP3 from a MP4-movie file:
Software is extremely easy to use. You can choose 3 different audio outputs: MP3, WAV, or AC3(Dolby Digital)
You can customize the output quality settings. ( I used a lower 80 kbps bitrate, and 32000 samplerate so the MP3 files are smaller. The sound quality is still good enuf. Smaller files convert faster, import to my MP3 player faster, and generally take up less time & space )
Faced with the insane task of converting 26 sessions/50 hours plus of a conference that included music and teaching, from its MP4 format to MP3, I thought I would have to manually run every session in real time while using an audio recorder ( such as the fantastic & free Audacity recorder). Tried AoA instead, and have been amazed & impressed. Took only about 2 minutes to extract the audio out of a 2 hour/615Meg MP4 movie).
Kudos to AoA for this great software! And for making it free!

"Does what it says - FAST!"

2. great sounding audio

Cons: don't have any yet

Summary: I love it!
I needed to extract audio from video files that we have, and it does it so fast, i'm elated.
