From olivier gortais: Visualize how to make a piano chord on the virtual keyboard. Select the chord you want (From Cm to Bb7(b5)add13...all are here) it will show you the way to play it. You can also draw the notes on the virtual keyboard, or play your MIDI keyboard, it will tell you what chord it is. Scales (major, Dorian, blues) can be visualized on the keyboard A Chord sequencer is also available to play your patterns. Version 3.1 has chord sequencer, scales.

No matter what kind of piano chord you need to learn, chances are this free program can lead the way. Using All That Chords's unlovely but largely intuitive interface, you simply select the root note from one pane, then choose the actual chord type--such as major, minor, augmented, or diminished--from another. A glance at the keyboard near the top of the main window shows exactly what notes comprise the chord, and you can switch it to a higher or lower interval. You can have the program play the chord normally or as an ascending or descending arpeggio. We like the scoring feature, which shows all notes in the chord individually laid out on a musical staff; our only complaint is there's no way to see exactly how the chord would look on a piece of sheet music. The chord-analysis feature, which functions like a reverse-lookup tool, is another informative addition. While it won't really help beginners get on their feet, more experienced pianists looking for a chord-finding utility will find All That Chords more than sufficient.
