Publisher's description of AflEfax
From AFL Technologies:Very simple and user-friendly software that allows you to send faxes. The AflEfax software gives you the opportunity to send your faxes without any long-distance expenses. It works all across North America except for North Western territories and Alaska. You must be connected to the Internet. Easy-to-use, the software is doted with a fake printer, which allows to fax a document from any application (word, excel, or explorer). You can also fax a non numerical document with the help of a scanner with a simple click.

Version: AflEfax 1.1.2
Pros: Not much, other than the small file size
Cons: It doesn't work! I was somewhat concerned when the software description and the website were both in broken English but decided to give it a try anyway. I was looking for a program that will fax over the internet rather than via a phone modem. I have a cable connection on my XP SP2 machine. Downloaded and installed OK, but it would not fax via the internet as described. First I tried to scan a document and fax; it scanned OK but didn't send. Then I tried to send a fax from MS Word, since it says on the product description that you can do that, same results. Out of ten reviews I've submitted, this is the only one that has been negative. I noticed that the only other reviewer has no other reviews but said it worked fine (in broken English). I want a program like this, but one that works!

Version: AflEfax 1.1.2
Pros: I can't think of any. In fact, I wish I could choose zero stars.
Cons: I'm still waiting for the fax to come in. I don't think it does anything. Plus, after I installed it I noticed in my sent items that it sent an email to setup@afltech.com with the date and time I installed it. That's not cool.
