ASO2 includes more than 30 tools for supercharging your PC's performance, and more than 200 tweaks for customizing Windows and improving its performance. New features include a spyware detective, an e-mail checker, an icon manager, a fast e-mailer, and a comprehensive backup tool for Outlook and for files and folders. You can back up the registry and restore it if it's damaged by a virus attack. The system cleaner removes junk and obsolete files from the system, including files often missed by the system uninstaller as well as by defrag and ScanDisk programs. The registry cleaner ensures that invalid information is removed, and the registry defragger helps you get maximum speed from your computer.

Advanced System Optimizer's privacy protector keeps prying eyes out of your system. By removing cookies, the Web history, and the recent documents history, the program ensures your sensitive information can't be retrieved by others. Version 2.01.4 fixed the installer, which had a problem in Windows 98 and Me.

With its comprehensive suite of utilities and attractive interface, Advanced System Optimizer makes it easy to regularly clean and optimize your system for better performance. In one of our tests, the optimizer cut down the registry size by 15 percent. The system-optimizer toolset handles sensitive areas such as registry files, as well as less critical data such as junk files and cookies. Privacy and security features clean Web files left in Internet Explorer, Opera, and Netscape, as well as finding and removing spyware. Encryption and secure erasing protect sensitive data. You can even make Windows more attractive by changing icons and wallpaper. More tools can organize your appointments, create sticky notes, and even manage media files. The XP-style interface clearly explains all the program's functions without flooding you with details. Sometimes more details would be nice, though, such as which invalid keys are completely safe to remove and which you might want to examine before deleting. However, you can back up system files and even create a boot disk to use in the event of a full-system crash. The easy-to-use interface makes Advanced System Optimizer perfect for beginners.

  Pros: This program actually sped up my pc after I ran it, by about 20%. I have alot of registry cleaners that I use, Ace utilities, Super Utilities,Tuneup Utilities, etc, and Advanced System Optimizer got rid of tons of junk that the others had missed. I test alot of programs,(about ten a day),so with all the installing and uninstalling, I accumulate a lot of junk and unneeded files. I usually only write reviews on the programs that I really like, or really hate, and I really like Advanced System Optimizer. I recommend it to speedup your pc,and give it 5 Stars and TWO thumbs UP!

  "I cannot recommend this download unless it is the only one of its kind."

  Pros: Good looking interface with skins available. All options are categorised nicely and easy to find. Utilities all do some kind of good and helpful work and have a good selection of options for the user to choose what is and isn't to be included in the process.

  Cons: A tendency to freeze. A lot of the utilities are simply links to other downloads from the maker's site which is ridiculous. Clicking any buttons in the program shows a very slow response time and often your chosen utility takes over a minute to load. Utilities themselves are slow and this cannot be justified by any kind of extensive job that the program is doing because it isn't. Though not being completely without merit, this is a very mediocre program when compared to others available.

  Too many useless features

  Pros: A couple of years after converting this dinasour from ME to XP when XP first came out, my computer was nearly gridlocked. With a p4, 1.8 & a small ram I bought this product because one web sight highly recomended it. After using it, my computer did run cosiderably better. Wanting more performance, I began playing around with the settings, including the duplicate file finder, which didn't have strong enough warnings, & of course, killed my computer. Since then I have educated myself & learned that nearly everything this product does can be done using Windows itself & safer, but more difficult & more time consuming. I still use it, since I did buy it, but use it carefuly.

  The disk & registry cleaner work excellent if left in the default mode. The start up manager should be used with common sense. The privacy & security section is basically useless if you already have this kind of software, as is most of the rest of the features unless you have little knowledge of your computer. The memory optimizer actually slowed my computer down, but that could be because of my small ram. The duplicate file finder is probably the most dangerouse to use in my opinion, & unless one knows what they're doing, I wouldn't go there. I have been using this product correctly for over a year now, & seems to work excellently, despite it did kill my computer once. Has a lot of options to improve your computer's performance & to customize different features & looks.

  Cons: If you're looking for a product just to clean & repair your disks & registry, there are easier to use & cheaper products out there.

  More Like Advanced System Bull....

  Pros: Pros this program dose not even deserve my 1 star

  Cons: Downloaded the program because 1 so called web site which reviewed 10 top utilities software & said that this product was number 1, I have found that half the program features don't work & now that I have uninstalled it I can't get rid of the program folder because windows is using the dll file with in it, Now it looks like I am going to have do some major work on my PC to get rid of the pest.

  Cons: Program may be good at what it does, but before you buy it take a look at available freeware such as CCleaner.
