Advanced Instant Messengers Password Recovery is a program to recover lost or forgotten login and password information (stored locally) for most popular instant messengers, including ICQ, AOL IM, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Microsoft Office Communicator 2005, Google Talk, Excite Messenger, Odigo, Trillian, Jabber, PalTalk, Miranda and many others. Passwords are recovered instantly, multilingual passwords are supported.

Version 3.4 adds support for Pandion, IMVITE Messenger and Oyco Messenger. Besides, there are a few changes related to AIM, AIM Pro, Windows Live Messenger, PalTalk, Miranda, Ipswitch IM, Simple Instant Messenger, Gaim, Google Talk, Meca Messenger, QIP, Gizmo Project, MySpace IM, Gadu-Gadu, Mail.Ru Agent and ScatterChat.

This utility for recovering instant-messenger passwords quickly takes care of its main job, though the trial limitation may render it useless to some folks. After launching the program, we were glad to see a no-nonsense interface that took only seconds to learn.

We also appreciated that Advanced Instant Messengers Password Recovery supports a large number of chat clients, from common ones, such as Yahoo and MSN, to lesser-known competitors, such as Miranda and Ipswitch. However, since the trial version only lets you recover three-character passwords, we had a tough time evaluating its full powers. It was only after we got a new IM account and created a three-character password that we were able to ascertain that the program delivers on its promise.

Also, if you've recently reinstalled your OS, the help files warn that this application may not be able to assist you. Although we would prefer a less-stringent demo limitation, this program could be a boon to forgetful chatterboxes.
