Hide or password-protect any file or folder instantly by clicking on it. Advanced File Lock works with all file types including pictures and movies. Once a file is locked or hidden, it is completely encrypted and none of its contents can be viewed. To lock a file or folder, simply right-click on it and select the lock option.
Version 6.1 is a bug fixing release.

Version: Advanced File Lock 6.1
Pros: Advanced file lock is simply the best file encryption tool. Other than the encryption features, this program has an excellent hide and secure delete feature. It an all-in-one tool.
Cons: I think that it would be great for the tool to have an feature to create a self-extracting encrypted file.
Summary: We use Advanced File Lock at work, and I use it at home. Its very reliable and also very easy to use.

"Feature Rich, Powerful, Easy to use"
Pros: After testing plenty of encryption tools time and time again, I still feel that this is the best program available. I was always happy with previous versions and am very pleased with the constant improvements that are being made to AFL.
Cons: All features work great.
Summary: The other encryption tools are either too difficult to use, or lack all of the features that AFL has. This tool is unbelievably simple to use.

Version: Advanced File Lock 6.1
Pros: Intuitive screen, extremely easy to understand and use. Many advanced options such as running in stealth mode. Very reliable.
Cons: All features work solid, no complaints to report.
Summary: If you are looking for a comprehensive tool to keep your information and private files safe, it is really worth checking this tool out. They give you a long trial period and its really easy to use.

- Hide file / folder feature
- drag / drop file in program feature
All features are really simple to use. I've evaluated tons of other security/encryption software adn this is the best.Cons: They do not have an auto update feature. This would be nice to have.
Summary: This program is a one-stop shop for all of your encryption and file security needs. Its very easy to use and cannot be hacked because they do not have any back doors.

Pros: The lock and hide features are very simple to use.
This program also has a great perm or "secure delete"/ shredding feature. You can use it to completely remove files from your computer so they can never be dug up, even through forensic techniques.Cons: I like every feature.
Summary: If you are looking for a great encryption or folder/file hiding tool, this is the one.
