From 01smith:Advanced DVD Player Pro not only lets you play and navigate DVD, it also plays popular file types such as DivX, MPEG, AVI, WMV, ASF, MP3, JPEG, and GIF. Advanced DVD Player Pro is fully skinned. The built-in explorer lets you browse your computer for favorite movie clips, songs, and images, then you can create play list by drag and drop, no confusing setting for you to figure out. The player bookmarks the last video or song you played and automatically plays it next time it runs.
Note: Version 2.17 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: Advanced DVD Player Pro 2.17
"Lots of better stuff out there"
Pros: None that I could find but didn't persevere for long.
Cons: Not free as stated in the licence but a crippled 'try it now' version with nag screen.
Clunky navigation.

Version: Advanced DVD Player Pro 2.17
"Once or twice I've used this Prog. But couldn't find as easier as VlcMediaPlayer"
Pros: Thought that would help to run major Formats of DVDs or other type of medias; but made me disappointed by keep stopping the running programme on it & also Keep asking to upgrade to the paid one. So I would say "Nothing I've like from it". But still try its new version, Should work well; but still I'll go for VLC Media Player... Enjoy Suggetions...
Cons: I thought it would help to run major Formats of DVDs or other type of medias cuase I didn't 've any software to run DVDs on My Laptop; but made me disappointed by keep stopping the running programme on it & also Keep asking to upgrade to the paid one. But now a days, it has got new version so Well nothing wrong in trying such things...! But still i like Easy & as light as Balloon for your PC, VLC Media Player..U would love it, I guess. ;-)
