This unit-conversion application certainly lives up to its name, but we wish the demo weren't so watered down. Advanced Converter can of course calculate basic units of measurement such as length, area, mass, and temperature, but the demo will only let you access a few of them. More in-depth options include the ability to convert units of measurement in classes such as electricity, heat, magnetism, and even radiology. However, most of this functionality is disabled in the trial version. Happily, the application is fairly easy to use. You use the tree-like navigation pane on the interface's left side to choose unit group and type of conversion, then specify the actual conversion unit in the larger right-side window. After that, you just enter a number and the app will quickly go to work. Though everyday users can certainly find a more functional and basic unit-conversion app, hard-core number crunchers or those who work in scientific fields might find it worth paying for.
