This software lets you view and print Adobe PDF files on a variety of hardware and operating system platforms. Adobe Reader provides a host of features that enable you to submit PDF forms created with fillable form fields to such applications as Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional and Adobe Form Designer. Play back a variety of embedded multimedia content, such as QuickTime and MP3 files. Read and organize high-fidelity e-books. Activate search and accessibility capabilities built into your PDF files, and display Adobe Photoshop Album slide shows and electronic cards.

Version 7.0 offers enhanced performance with faster loading and zooming, expanded device compatibility, and extended application support for files attached to PDF documents.

Note: The Download Now link will redirect you to a Web page on the developer's site where you can download a small installer file that is most appropriate for your Windows version. Remain online and double-click the installer to proceed with the actual download.

• "A must-have"

The new version of this indispensable product doesn't introduce revolutionary changes, but it doesn't have to. As the low-end PDF reader, it simply keeps up with Acrobat Professional and Standard. This release adds the ability to play back embedded multimedia files in MP3, QuickTime, Macromedia Flash, Real, and Windows Media formats, as well as to submit Adobe PDF forms. It also replaces some of the icons in the default interface with optional, dockable toolbars. You might as well install this now before a Web site you visit prompts you to download it, because you'll need it.

  "Try FoxIt instead"

  Pros: It works. No spyware or other junk.

  Cons: Very bloated. Try FoxIt if you want a slim 2MB alternative.

  "What else do we use?"

  Pros: It's a standard, Adobe IS LIKE the ISO of pdfs, but the software itself works well.

  Cons: It seldomly freezes while loading, I know all Adobe apps have that simalir loading screen but it just crashes sometime.

  "ESSENTIAL , NECESSARY , VITAL"

  Pros: there's not much to say...without ACROBAT READER u cannot read PDF files & that would be a tragedy , also for visitin' some websites

  Cons: little heavy (over 70Mb)
