The Adobe PostScript Printer Driver (AdobePS) lets you print documents from Mac OS applications to a PostScript printer. When you use AdobePS with the PDF printer driver plug-in, you can generate an Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) file from AdobePS, set up and select an Acrobat PDF custom printer from the Printer menu of AdobePS, and set Acrobat Distiller options that affect the type of PDF file Acrobat Distiller will produce.

If you work on an older Mac or use the Classic environment from an earlier version of Mac OS X, this app is great for making PDF files. Some jobs require Portable Document Format files when you need to know for sure your document can be read on any system. This app allows Classic Mac OS users to make PDF files and it's as easy as going to the printer menu in Photoshop and selecting the Acrobat PDF custom printer. If you're a dedicated Mac Classic OS user and have need to make PDF files out of Photoshop, you will appreciate this program.

"Does a good job and it's free"

Pros: FREE and you can speficy the name and append to the document so that you can build a multiple document from multiple sources. I would give a 5 if it could automatically insert it in an email and if it would be a stand alone application. However, it's free, you have to expect some minor issues.

Cons: This program depends on another program called Ghostscrip and you will have to down load this additional application. It wont' work without it. Total download is over 8 megabytes.

Pros: PDF Format and printer driver

Cons: not possible to change the PDF format to word doc.
