From Adobe Systems:

This file updates Adobe Illustrator 8.0 and introduces some feature enhancements and fixes for a variety of minor problems that were discovered after Illustrator 8.0 shipped. Version 8.0.1 also resolves CMYK color definition errors, improves compatibility with Adobe Acrobat 4.0, and adds support for the Avenza MAPublisher 3.0 plug-in.

Note: In order to perform this update, you must be a registered owner of Adobe Illustrator 8.0.
