Publisher's description of Room Arranger
From Jan Adamec:
Reconstruct rooms or rearrange things placed in them without moving heavy furniture. This program enables you to simulate everything with no need to draw on paper or to push things around. It includes many common objects and a 3D viewer. New in this version: Creating custom complex objects (Groups). Selecting floor and wall colors for each room in the project. Length measurements stay in the project as new objects.

Room Arranger
Really a great program !
by: HADELN
on 12-Apr-2007 10:27:30 AM
Pros: I had to refurnish a six room flat combining furniture from two different locations and was desperate to find a way to do it. Room Arrange helped me doing the job in only two days. Its a remarkable program, worth every cent of its 20$, and the new version 5 (2007) contains almost everything one needs, from a large collection of objects to many basic forms allowing one to build objects not in the collection, such as old furniture with unusual forms. The program is easy to use, at least in its 2D dimensions, once one has understood its basics and I had no problem using it on a XP machine. 3D effects are great, but its a bit more complex to get going with it. That took me a couple of days more... The Check origine of this program proves that we in Europe are also capable of great programming, and - believe it of not - even understand the difference between inches and centimetres !
Cons: The help menu, available in many languages, is well written but a bit too concise and has no search. It is only available online, which means one has no help without an internet connection. A downloadable version for idiots should be made available.

Room Arranger
Excellent Product

Pros: Easy to use. Uses ALL kinds of measurements -- I used Inches. (So it's NOT just metric as one old review states). Has lots of color. 3-D rendering is quite good.
Cons: Takes some time to get use to 3-D navigation, but that could just be new-user issues.

Room Arranger
Deciding furniture arrangement is now much easier with this program.
by: sacrlc

Pros: I am very pleased how simple and easy this is and that I can take basic templates of furniture, etc and change demensions to save in own library for later use. I am not interested in a 3d visual, I just wanted something I could quickly manipulate to make sure how furniture and other objects in my home fits in each of my rooms. Now it is very easy to try different things using my tailored objects. All my rooms and furniture, once I "create" and save them can be used over and over in new designs. This fits my needs very well and see myself using this quite often in the future.
Cons: Even tho furniture can be tailored and saved as unique, there appears to be only 2 sides to be revised (length and width) in 2d. To create my corner computer desk, I had to take two pieces and overlay them. It still wasn't exactly right, but good enough to show the footprint even tho I can actually put a floor lamp behind it in the corner in real life. Still, not a show-stopper. An enhancement would be to be able to "cut" a corner and optionally paste it on another area to create the more realistic odd dementions.

Room Arranger
The "Diet Soda" of software..
by: silver_wind

Pros: The pros of the product is the convience that it gives. Enabling the user to design a room arrangment, of their choice, also gives the user the ability to explore the room in a virtual reality type environment (3D) One of the most useful features is that you can create your own object by using measurements, the program supports measurements for the room object/furniture for a more accurate arrangment allowing you to plan footpaths and so on.
Cons: Although this program has a few cons they are very annoying for anyone who wishes to use this product frequently. 1. The program has an expiration date (free trail). 2. You have to download a VRML viewer. 3. The measuring system is in metric. The other flaws are things such as: there could be color, better images, ability to upload 3D images/CAD, and a long trail or shareware/freeware ability. Like I said the "Diet Soda" of software which in my eyes if you want it bad enough then its good for you but it has a bad side if you don't want it bad enough (kinda like the taste of Diet pop its good if you need it badly but its bad if you don't). Enjoy the software its worth trying for you that are looking for something of this type. Silver Wind

Room Arranger
Love it!
by: Lorena75
on 27-Feb-2006 08:16:51 PM
Pros: In about 30 minutes I was able to layout a room and rearrange it, and when you are strapped for time and energy, this is a great tool. It gives me the dimensions of things that will work in my layout and things that wont. Furniture, windows and accessories are all sizable they even include a bunkbed (which looks great in 3d). I enjoyed using the vrml it was a nifty tool to use in conjunction with a bunkbed a short ceiling and a fan!
Cons: It starts off in metric. And it has a strange look on rooms that are small in size, making them feel diminutive, and this can throw you when you are trying to visualize it in your head.
