Publisher's description of Teleport Pro
Teleport Pro is a fully automated, multithreaded, link-following, file-retrieving webspider. It will retrieve all the files you want - and only the files you want - from any part of the Internet. Teleport Pro can completely copy a website, enabling you to 'offline browse' the site at much greater speeds than if you were to browse the site online; search a website for files of a certain type (and even size); and make exact duplicates of websites. Version 1.44 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Editor's review of Teleport Pro
5.0 stars
This software not only downloads entire Web sites to your hard drive, it also can download parts of any site and search a site by keyword or filename. Teleport Pro copies an entire site to a location you specify, and the software is highly configurable. During download, the program constantly displays how many files it has found, how many are downloaded, and how many remain.
Browsing the downloaded pages works well. If you try to view something that wasn't downloaded, the program will display a message saying that it wasn't copied to the hard disk. The performance of the program matches the quality of its organization. If you're looking for an offline browser, give Teleport Pro a try.

Version: Teleport Pro 1.44
"Simple and Reliable Web spider"
Pros: I started to use Teleport Pro 4 years ago. It is easy to use and fast. Does not use a lot of memory, there are no adds or other disturbing "features". Will download large websites with no problem.
In despite of the simple user interface there are many options, which makes it verry flexible. For example you can use this spider to download all the images from an website or to search for zip files or anything else you may want. You can stop the job and resume it later.
I also use this program for downloading websites in order to see what's inside (css files, java scripts etc). There is an option into Teleport you can use it to duplicate the website structure from the server. For a webdesigner this may be a usefull tool...
Tired to click again and again "Save link as..." in your web browser ? Use this product. It's smarter !
Cons: Speed... Teleport does not use mirrors. Do not use it as a download manager for big files.

"If you like copying other people's work..."
Pros: ... then this program is definitely for you!
But, since having its copy-a-website advantages, this also has its disadvantages. This program was created for people who wanted to view websites whilst offline, especially websites with informative content such as medical or tutorial. Good for students who want to share information between their study environment to their comrades.
Unfortunately, this software has been misused and widely abused for its sole purpose of invention. Entities out there are copying professional web-designers/developers' work and modifying its contents to use for themselves, or even make profit by illegally trading them.
Fortunately, there are website/page/HTML encryption programs out there that protects web-disigners/developers' work from being stolen, try Encrypt HTML Pro, you won't be disappointed. Even if you don't want an encryption program, there are websites/forums where HTML encryption support is web-bourne. Just search for it and you'll find it.
Overall, this program is rendered useless, since I have Encrypt HTML Pro which protects my websites from being downloaded/copied.
Cons: When it comes to encrypted/copy-proofed websites, this program is one BIG joke!

"Try the freeware HTTrack Website Copier"
Cons: It is advertised to be "The most fully-featured and robust webspider available, Teleport Pro handles today's more complex websites flawlessly." But beware that Teleport Pro has flaws and finds many simple graphical animation files too complex to handle. I paid $39.95 for this watered down version of their Teleport Ultra which is $149. Nevertheless, for 39 bucks you'd expect it to perform better than the HTTrack Website Copier freeware. Unfortunately, Teleport Pro performed no better that HTTrack. I'm out $39, but if you read about my experience with Teleport Pro and it saves you some money and disappointment, then it'll be some consolation to me.
Finally, I sent the Teleport support team an inquiry, but they never responded. They claim to support their software and that they are always available to answer customers' questions. There seems to be a pattern here: claim to do something, but unable to deliver. Try HTTrack Website Copier.

"Excellent Software, Perfect Quality, and Easy to Manage."
Pros: It's like a photocopier for websites. Download all or part of a website to your computer, enabling you to browse the site directly from your hard disk at much greater speeds than if you were to browse the site online
