Why?
Cons: It does split files, just like WinZip, WinRar, 7-Zip and a plethora of free compression application does... and if you don't want compression you can just trun it off. Why a standalone application to do this? Why another application that offers only that function and offers none of the functions of an archiver program? Just because some users are supposed to be too lazy to use "split" function in their compression software?
Why no compression?
Sometimes all that's desired is to post on Usenet. If the file is a video, you're not going to get much compression anyway - so why wait for something you're not going to get?
