Get serious with Internet Security 2008

As Trend Micro releases an upgrade to their PC-Cillin Web security product, they've renamed it Internet Security 2008.
It's a bit less glib and reflects the way in which malware attacks have proven to have serious, life-altering consequences in the real world. CNET's Rob Vamosi has given the trialware five stars, and it's hard to argue that Trend Micro doesn't offer a comprehensive suite of tools to keep you safe.
However, user complaints about previous versions indicate mixed reviews. Some loved PC-Cillin, others felt that the cure was worse than the disease. Take a look at the product yourself and let us know what you think in TalkBack below or in our newly revamped forums.

Install was quick and painless and helpful prompts talk you thru any additional set-up options. Default settings are sufficient for my needs and upon first boot-up after install I was up and running a protected. Even people new to security apps should have no problem using this right away .Haven't been bombarded with constant pop-ups asking for certain program permission to run. Trend Micro automatically scanned my PC and recognized all safe installed programs and set-up rules accordingly.
Several popular Security Suites firewalls however, do this constantly until they "learn" your allowed programs that you run daily. Although necessary, this can be quite confusing and perhaps an annoyance to the noob.
If you want to dig deep into all the customizable setting you will need to do a little clicking and experimenting with the
easy to use and well laid out main console.
Overall I rate this Security program 4 stars out of 5. Would have given it 5 out of 5 except for the fact that this program is not as user friendly as my top pick for ease of set-up and use which is Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite.
about a month ago, they allowed me to download the fully funtional version
of the Security program 2008 version. The 2008 version contains a version of
their spam protection that will work with Vista, the 2007 version will only
work with XP, maybe 2000 not sure didn't look for that so see for yourselfs.
This 2008 version found a lot more spyware than may other software
security suite's that I have ran on this computer. Our local news channel done
a report on the top 25 rated software's by comsumer reports and Trend
Micro's was the top rated and that's what sparked my attention to it. This
program is fast/thorough/and does the job in my opinion better than all the
rest..
In order to install it I had to allow it to remove Spybot,Ad-Aware, Spy Sweeper and it even took the Outlook 2003 shortcut from my desktop. I tried to install it without removeing those other products but it stopped installing itself until I let it do it's thing. I understand there are compatability issues between some security programs but from my standpoint this is just a way to get rid of the compatition. Trend Micro has crossed the line that Microsoft was accused of crossing and I am angry.
Well this is a first! Well, I just have one question for ya cpldan? Is this "sweet" a fruit or a vegtable?
