3DLanguage Spain is a virtual Spanish town for learning/practicing Spanish. We have combined game technology with a very robust speech recognition engine to make a compelling experience. Some of the developers went so far as to live in Spain to make sure we got it right. Virtual Spaniards inhabit the town, and wait for you to interact with them.

The conversations are the heart of the program and take place in an interface we call the VoiceBox. The VoiceBox contains both sides of the dialog in Spanish, a phonetic pronunciation guide, and English. The initial release includes 8 characters with 2+ conversations each, covering the basics of conversational Spanish: pleasantries, directions, shopping, and weather.   3DLanguage Spain

  This is a fun way to learn and practice your spanish.

  Pros: You practice your Spanish in the way you would actually be using it - in conversation. The cool part is that while you're having a conversation if there's a word you don't know you can click on it and learn what it means, and then still continue. It's like talking to someone in Spain and having an instant Spanish-to-English dictionary at hand at all times. Very cool.

  Cons: The conversations you get when you download are cool but they are kind of short. Luckily you can buy more lessons and conversations from the website to keep learning.

  Pretty cool. I haven't seen anything else like this for language learning.

  Pros: It is a lot more enjoyable trying to learn a language this way.

  Cons: I hope more content is coming soon. I'd like to see some content specifically for kids.
