Excellent product, and the free trial DOES remove spyware!

Pros: First, Email me for a link to the trial version that WILL delete everything it finds. It's a fully functional 14 day trial directly from Webroot's web site! No gimmicks, and no you won't be added to some stupid spam list. I'm 100% legit.

I've used Spy Sweeper for several years and it works great. Never had any problems. Yeah, it slows down your PC when it scans but you can configure it to use less (see the bottom of the Options tab). Besides, you should schedule the scans to run at night when you are not using your PC, so who cares if it takes 1 hour or 3 hours?

Sorry, but if you want a software program to run better/faster and have more features, it's going to have to use more resources (CPU/RAM). That's just the way it is. If you have less than 512MB of memory with Windows XP, you need more. 1GB minimum to run Antivirus, Anti-spyware and other apps.

Cons: You have to be logged into your PC for the scheduled scan to run. Kind of a bummer for those with XP Home Edition, but if you have 2000 or XP Pro, just lock your PC when you are done for the night and you're fine. If XP Home users want their PC to be "locked", just set a password on your screensaver.

I've already contacted Webroot about this and there's no way to schedule a scan to run when you're not logged in (even via command line). Hopefully they will add that soon!
