VersionTracker Pro Mac

Version: 4.5.1

My eyes were bigger than my stomach...

Pros: Sounds to be like a worthy program - meaning it sounds like something that a computer user should have (to make life ?whole?).

Cons: It ended up not working for me - something about not having my password up to snuff with their website (I guess the program works in tandem with their website). I contacted support and ?we trouble shot? for a ?spell? but I?m to busy (or rather more concerned with) leaning other stuff on my new laptop then to mess around with something that (should work right off the bat in the first place) especially when it?s going to, in the long run, end up making suggestions to me to spend more of my money on ?additions? and up grades etc.... to software I already own. You know what I mean jelly bean? Like, hiring a ?professional shopper? and having a problem with getting the ?profession shopper? to work right, let alone the stuff their going to want me to buy... But, hey what do I know and since I?m the one with the money (what do I care)...

SnagIt

Version: 9.0

Wouldn't Wanna Own A Computer Without It....

Pros: I don't know if it's just me - but computers should be able to do what this dose in the first place... Meaning, you really shouldn't have to buy this Outstanding Product... But computers fall so way short in their "so called" abilities to even think about trying to attempt what Snagit already is "a superior" in - that's it's pathetic - they really put the whole computer industry to shame (at least that's my opinion)... Snagit and Spell Catcher Plus (whishing that it had the "word search" of Franklin Speaking Dictionary, but) are the QUINTESSENCE of what a computer should be... With the above mentioned software I am Ready, Willing and Able....

Cons: No Workbook's (to learn every little detail that this bad boy can do)... If "only" I could work for them, spell catcher plus (not forgetting Franlin somehow) I would make the Frankenstein the likes of which the world has never seen....

Circus Ponies NoteBook

Version: 2.1 build 254

If it's not there - they'll put it there...

Pros: It seems to be a very on going "building on what they already know" team mission behind the software with their online support "forum"... Absorbing and integrating situations under people for new developments in the future (meaning they seem ready, willing and able to accommodate and improve)... I can only speak for this one "notebook" (although, being such a journal keeper "that I am" - I'm going to try MacJournal, having a high rating already and circus ponies having non "yet" - so go figure). But if price is any kind of indicator, then it seems "Circus Ponies" will be the "superior" product (as long as someone is)....

So in closing: yea, it dose all that it says it dose (which is why I said "cool" and bought it)...

Cons: What I don't like about it - is my inability to understand all it's potential (but then I guess time's on my side, right?)... Also what I don't like is what I don't like about most all software and hardware, and that is not having a "workbook" that walks you through the abilities of what the stuff can do... (especially printers and camera's) right? .... Do I hear a "So Say We All" or what....

VMware Fusion

Version: 1.1.62573

Jut get a Windows Laptop & and save yourself the Grief

Pros: For basic this and that it works fine - meaning as long as you (practically) have no interaction with the software (or excuse me before the Vmware Anal, lists come track me down) ?no interaction with the OS inside the Vmware. Meaning if you spend you?re time ?just looking? It works fine (and only if you get MacDrive 7 at that).. Don?t get me wrong - it gets and A for good intentions.... BUT

Cons: If your looking to have programs run and inter-exchange with your OS inside the Vmwear ?like running in the background? a spell checker, a screen capture program, maybe even firwalls or anything like that (to numerus to think of or know about because I did not try ?first hand? (forget it, IN MY OPINION) it?s a nightmare at least and at best a twilight zone experience. Try viewing their forum for support (before you buy) and get the flavor of their outstanding customer support. Meaning it?s a joy being PUT IN YOUR PLACE... (Who?s the one with the money, right?) So here?s the bottom line: with trying to use it with an OS it?s a ?Zone? but if you were to run just regular run of the mill programs (anything that?s not an OS) it would be (probably) perfect... What are the advantages of doing this? That's for you to decide - but if it?s for Windows that your interested in using it for (as it?s advertized for) you have a certain amount of disposable income (no?) Well just reach in a little deeper and buy a separate laptop (and dispense with the anguish)...
