The KMPlayer

Version: 2.9.3.1431

oh...my...god

Pros: basically, if i could have a media player made to do everything i could think of, it wouldn't do as much as this program does...this program is easy to use, has no bugs, and is better than every other media player out there, i am truly amazed, thank you!

Cons: the only bad part is that i didn't find out about this until recently! :) fantastic work!

VLC Media Player

Version: 0.8.6f

Plays lots of formats, but has some problems

Pros: can play lots of files, as said, good playback in general

Cons: when i go to full screen, in any method (double click on the video, menu zoom-->full screen) the video goes full screen, but the player window stays on the screen, but blank. so the video is full screen, with a random blank window in the middle of it. also, after i switched the playlist to "repeat all", often when i would attempt to double click on another file from anywhere, it would just restart the file it was already playing and i could only remedy this by closing the program and THEN playing the new file. also, i would like there to be a context menu added to the file explorer when selected individual files, not folders. what i mean is, currently, the only right click option to add to the playlist that is there is when you right click on a FOLDER, but not on individual files.

so for freeware, it's ok, but not great, hence the three star rating.
