Neat idea, premature implementation
Pros: Free. Open source. Supports importing a number of 3D formats (for furniture). Provides both 2D layout as well as 3D previsualization.
Cons: When adding walls there is no snap to grid functionality-so getting measurements exact is tedious (despite most walls being measured in 6" increments). Measurements are in inches-there's no way to convert this to feet. You can ballpark the wall placement then tweak the properties - but this works on an absolute coordinate system, so you can't just say this wall is 5' long (for instance) but must say it exists between a set of X,Y coordinates (measured in inches). Also when freehand drawing walls it's difficult to get them to "snap" to eachother such that they are seamless.
Furniture is a bit easier to use, although it's really buggy. The program crashed on me multiple times while importing new models. Also, obvious functionality such as a rotate by 90* is missing: you have to freehand rotate or open the properties and manually type "90" under rotation.
I could go on - these are just some examples. Basically, this is a great concept that's really, really premature. With additional contributions it'll get there but until then it's at most a project worth monitoring.
