why can't quicken just work?

Pros: the idea of what this software should be able to do it great; it just doesn't really do it.

Cons: i've tried to use quicken for a while now. every time i try to set it up, one thing or another just doesn't seem to work right. it's been impossible to get it fully set up and even the accounts that are, always manage to get off.

the help pages are either non-existent or completely irrelevant.

i've started to think that maybe i'm the idiot but i've come across a lot of others online who agree.

quicken needs to get some serious feedback from the simple users on how to improve their product and their support features. until then, you're better off trying some other program or just doing it all the old fashion way--by hand.
