INVALUABLE PRODUCT, A MUST HAVE
Pros: one thing i have learned the hard way is just because you uninstall something through the normal means (programs and features in vista etc.) does not mean you get rid of it entirely, just the opposite in fact. unijnstalling a program stops it from running (usually) but you will almost always left over files, folders, and registry entries that will do nothing but take up space.
three programs in particular are bad for that, any norton product, limewire, and any of those pc games like ''the sims'' in fact one time i was having trouble with imewire, so i uninstalled it even though it was still downloading files, when i was reinstalled it it was still downloading the songs and stuff.
but revo takes care of that i almost always use the ''advanced'' feature, it first creates a system restore point in case there are problems, then uninstalls like normal, then scans the rest of your computer for left over crapola, which is usually pretty quick.
it is very easy to use and is am ust have if you are interested in keeping your computer running tip top and not having useless files and stuff lingering around.
Cons: none really.
one word of advice, some programs when they are uninstalled want you to restart your computer to complete the uninstallation process.
they will give you this option BEFORE revo has the opportunity to scan for left over files.
you must say NO to this option at first because once it is restarted you will not have the option to go back and scan the rest of your pc with revo.
it will not recognize it as being on your computer as it will not be on your programs and features menu.
after it is done scanning the rest of your computer then restart.
