Great for the beginner and for continued use

Pros: PhotoImpact was the first imaging program I had ever used, so I may be biased. However, even after I have gone on to using Adobe Photoshop for professional and person use, I still use Impact for many projects. The coolest things about Impact are the variety of button templates and frames, etc., - the "extras" that I don't have with Photoshop. No law says that you should only use one program for image work. Though admittedly, Photoshop is the standard for pros, Impact has its own specail features, which I use to this day.

Cons: The method for sizing images is not the best in Impact. Because of that and a few other quirks, I would not use the program exclusively for pro jobs.
