Pros: Yes, it does catch cookies but it doesn't bloat it's database with them. If you are looking for the best Anti-Trojan, then a-squared is it. It has almost 900,000 Trojans in it's database, and can detect even more with it's heuristics.
Cons: That people give bad reviews about it.

Pros: The scanning is faster, the program is smaller and uses less RAM, and detection rates are improved significantly.
Cons: Free version is a bit too limited compared to other free products.

Pros: It doesn't pop-up everytime I open something. If it doesn't pop-up for you, you probably don't have any viruses. Why do people want warnings? This is the smartest HIPS product I have ever used. Very light on resources.
Cons: It works. I don't get why people want warnings when unobtrusiveness is very convenient.

Pros: High detection rate and advanced heuristics would make this the most perfect free software available. Use this along with PCTools ThreatFire and PCTools Firewall and you have yourself a full PCTools suite for free!
Cons: Limited on-guard protection, but you can make that up by using PCTools ThreatFire.

Pros: I like the Direct Disk Access technology that it uses which means that it can detect spyware as if you were in Safe Mode.
Cons: Scans are quite slow, the scan progress is buggy and the interface is ugly.
