Converts files from .flv to MPEG and AVI formats with lots of options

Pros: FLV to AVI Converter has a fairly straightforward interface and the conversions are quick.

There are several different pre-set output settings (for iPod, DVD, VCD etc.) and you can also use custom settings.

The program does not require an install just extract the .zip archive and double click flvtoavi.exe. You can even be run from a USB stick or other portable device.

It will batch convert files and there's also an option to shutdown the computer when it's finished the batch.

It has a neat looking and there's no advertising.

It's only 2.5Mb and free.

Cons: I found that the default options produced quite a low quality converted file so I had to play around with the settings a bit to get to get the output just how I wanted - but it's quite straightforward to do this.

There are no help files included in the program although some help is provided on the developer's website.

Excellent!

Pros: This is any easy program to use and very useful. It's also customisable with different size and coloured skins and an 'always on top' option. You can toggle it on and off from the system tray.

A great free viewer!

Pros: A great replacement for windows picture and fax viewer that also has simple editing features like rotate, crop, resize and adjustment of brightness, contrast etc.

It's great for browsing your photos and video clips.

Also has some fun features like the slide show maker.

It's small, fast, easy to use and free!

Cons: It would be great to have a couple of re-touching tools like a clone stamp and airbrush to touch out pimples etc. - just so you could do everything from one package.
