Cons: I run Avast and AntiVir Personal Edition and they both showed this program to be loaded with infections. Beware of a wolf in sheep clothing. It may be free but if you download this you WILL get something unwanted!

Pros: The program is just great! The guys that built this must have spent all their time just building this program. I have been running this on my system for quite some time now and the only fault (if you want to call it that) is occasionally I get a pop-up asking if I want to buy the better version. To me that is not a fault, after all the program is for free. What would you expect? The company has to make money somehow. These guys have done a great job on the program and if they keep this up they will pass the other company based in the Czech Republic, AVG. This program catching darn near everything that comes its way. You want an excellent anti-virus program with active prevention, this is the one of choice in my book.
Cons: Make the pop-up ad just a tad smaller.

Pros: I like to test out different anti-virus programs probably more so than most people since I don?t have anything of major proportion on my home computer should it crash. I ran this program and I really like it, nice interface, reacted nicely with Windows Vista and it surprised me. I am a person that really goes the extra step to keep his computer clean of viruses, tojans, worms etc. This program actually found 4 viruses on my system. It cleaned them up immediately and placed them in the chest and then I deleted them once I had a extra look at them. This program is right up there with the best of them and will give the others a real run for their free money. Keep at it guys, you?ve done a great job on this program. And by the way, this is the one that is from the Czech Republic, not Avira. I believe Avira is from Germany and that hasn?t changed my rating for Avira, it is also up there with the paid versions. With two great programs like this for free, why should I pay somebody like Norton for their program? Again, GREAT program.
Cons: I feel guilty about asking them for this, but could you give me a few more interfaces?

Pros: The 2007 edition is one of the best out there and I really don't think you'll find something better for the price of "free". Ad-Aware still continues to do an excellent job of seeking out bad guys.
Cons: What I do not like about the 2007 edition is the fact that the interface has become more complicated. Not everybody in the world is computer savvy so they should be keeping the interface simple. Giving the option of do I delete or not delete can lead to confusion for some if they aren't aware of what belongs on the computer or not. The other thing that I did not like is that Ad-Aware did miss one of the big guys out there. When it scanned a full scan on my computer it missed "Top Moxie", yet when I used X-Block from Face Time Communications it picked up "Top Moxie". It is still best to not depend on one program alone, I usually run two programs and sometimes three for good measure. Ad-Aware for all the hype should not be missing the big boys.

Cons: If you like discomfort and agony this is a firewall I would stay away from. You say to run it for a couple of days and the pop-ups will go away, but wait every time you receive a new update as I did from shockwave you get 20 quad zillion pop-ups again. Now you have to baby sit your computer when you want to install a new update. Sure you could sit down and keep clicking for the firewall to accept the update (if you have that much time to waste), I don?t have that time to waste, my time is valuable and when I?m not working I?m losing money. Until something new comes out you?re better off just running the Vista firewall. Unfortunately the one firewall I did consider as a replacement does not run on Vista yet, that is Online Armor. One other thing, when you attempt to use their uninstaller apparently it must leave something behind. I uninstalled the program and went back to control panel to turn on windows firewall and it said the Comodo firewall was still running. I even checked in regedit for files and could not find any, yet windows said it was running. Task manager indicated it was not running, so in order to get my system back to normal I had to resort to a restore date before I installed Comodo.
