PageBreeze Free HTML Editor

Version: 4.0b

Very helpful; best I've found of the inexpensive programs.

Pros: Easy to use and navigate. I used trial versions of 4 software products and am purchasing this one. A great tool for the cost. It is very helpful to know html if you want to do more advanced stuff but it does write true html code so you can copy and paste into the html page or go in and write your own code. Email tech support has been excellent. I'm very happy with it.

Cons: Okay, Dreamweaver it's not. :) If you are going to get fancy you need to know what you are doing. But you could do a very nice more simple site just with PageBreeze. Biggest drawback is it adds in tons of extra code... empty table rows and cells, etc. Don't really show when you publish but make the code messy and could cause problems if you don't go to the html page and delete them.

Quick HTML Color Picker

Version: 1.0

What a nifty little tool!

Pros: This thing is super! Exactly what I need to quick and easily grab the eyedropper and match up my colors perfectly! I love it!

Cons: As someone else here noted, it would be nice if it had a feature to save the colors for future reference.

SiteSpinner

Version: 2.7c

I expected more from Broderbund

Cons: I was excited when I saw this product from Broderbund, as I have searched and searched for a decent web design program without having to sink $400 into Dreamweaver. At first PageBreeze was working well but more and more problems showed up. But SiteSpinner is hard to even really make any sense out of at all and works more like a literature publisher program rather than web design. I could not even OPEN my current web pages with it, as you cannot use .htm or .html but only THEIR own type of coding, so would have to start totally from scratch to rebuild my page. This one is a HUGE disappointment from Broderbund.

Ad-Aware 2007

Version: 7.0.1.6

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Cons: This makes me SO angry! It SAYS it is a free version. I downloaded it, ran the scan and THEN it told me I could not use it to actually DO anything unless I paid for it! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I guess I have to give it one star since there are no zero stars
