Pros: simple. free. i think the cnet editors were too harsh with this product. i havent tried importing or editing with mpg files -- they said this product froze up and whatnot when using mpegs. the way i use it, i just pull the stuff from my camera into my computer and then import that avi file to windows movie maker and voila. video good for computer or uploading to mysp or youtu no problems. i wouldnt trade my mom for it ... but it really isnt that bad, esp for what is a free add-on to windows.

Pros: i've used this software in the past and my company has even bought a few licenses for putting together tech training demos and whatnot. its good software being sold by short sighted bots.
Cons: really decent product but when i tried to buy it myself for use at home, with a major credit card from their site they wouldnt sell me their software without me forking over my phone number. do other big buy-online sites require phone numbers? no. does my bank? no. but atpresent with a russian mailing address insists they will not sell to me unless i supply them my phone number. even traded three emails with their help desk in this regard. ah ha. hmm. very interesting. too bad i have buy from someone else.
