Simple Home Money Management

Version: 2006

Simple to load, simple to use, nice layout, does the job!

Pros: The tile says it all SIMPLE Home Money Mgmnt. It features a cool interface, very simple inputs, provides basic basic budgeting functions. I've used Money, Quicken (which gets worse with each version, it peaked in 1999) and SHMM gives me the same bottom line info I need to manage my money. No unnecessary bells and whistles.

Cons: The sounds when navigating can get a little irritating. Doesn't allow import of .QFX files which is the format almost all major banks now use for exporting your statement data.

ASTRA32-Advanced System Information Tool

Version: 1.52

Fantastic collection of important info on one easy to use screen

Pros: Everything. Provides everything and anything you want to know about your hardware, operating system, benchmarks, etc, etc. All on one screen, with simple layout in english! (not geekspeak)

Cons: Aida 32 has a feature that when you pass the cursor over a line of info it displays the manufacturer name and links to their website for support. If Astra had that it would be perfect.

AIDA32

Version: 3.94.2

Most everything you need to know with neat features

Pros: Provides detailed info in an easy to use format. Aida 32 helped me set up my home wireless network by letting me see various IP's assigned to various components and determine if I made right connections. Love the "balloon" that pops up when passing cursor over software and hardware info.

Cons: Astra provided more info but Aida is still my first and favorite.

PageBreeze Free HTML Editor

Version: 4.0b

Nice interface, easy to use and navigate

Pros: I like the simplistic but detailed layout and the fact it is organized and labeled for novices like myself.

Cons: Haven't really been able to delve too deep yet. I am very unknowledgeable about HTML, code, tags, etc but I think I will be able to do what I need to do.

Alleycode HTML Editor

Version: 2.2

Simple layout but there's better

Pros: Very simple layout and navigation.

Cons: Not real easy to use for novices like me. I think it expects users to have more HTML coding experience. I found Page Breeze much easier to use.
