Bearshare Knock Off.

Pros: It looks like Bearshare 5.2.5.

Cons: Didn't work anything like 5.2.5. Has way to many filters to download anything you really want, and is less then half as fast as BearShare 5.2.5.

Resource Hog and Crashes

Pros: I like the look and feel of the browser. The loading bar inside the adressbar is also pretty nifty too.(You can get the loading bar for FF too in a widget). Other then that I did not enjoy it.

Cons: It uses 1/3 more resources then my FireFox 3.0 does. It's not as fast as FF with web browsing but it starts up better. It has crashed everytime I've used it for more then an hour. The mouse scroll works for vertical scroll, doesn't work with horizonatal scroll. I'm going to stick with FireFox but I'll continue testing all the browsers. Would not transfer my books marks from Fire Fox but IE7 transfered pretty easy. Also seemed a little clippy viewing videos from youtube, when FF and IE7 had no problem.

Stick With The Old One

Pros: I'm sure there are some, I didn't take the time to find them.

Cons: I did not download the program myself, but recommended BearShare to my girlfriend who downloaded it. I Thought bearshare 6 would have been much the same as my version 5.2.5.

It's not. I could not find songs, that in my mind are still popular. Most of my searches came up with zero results after I refreshed several times. It requires you to download BearFlix if you want video files. BearFlix is just as bad, low results for movies. I couldn't find a full length movie on it either. So go to google and search for BearShare 5.2.5 and download that, stick with it. I can download most songs in under 30 seconds each. Popular full length movies take 2 hours. Remember 5.2.5
