Just hit the pass mark
Pros: ACDSee Photo Manager is good program in general. It does the job as it claims. It is quite user friendly too. A credit to a set of batch tools such as batch rename, batch resize etc.
Cons: The program does eat up a lot of hard disc space. I do mean "a lot"! The program will generate some files (.cdx, .fpt) in your "application data" directory such as thumb2.fpt and thumb2.fpt ... ... These can be a few Mbtye. It can grow bigger and bigger. This may slow your machine down or even crash if you use the program long enough. My note book has 80G hard-disc with a usb 120G hard-disc. I can just get along with the program with a number of crashes each week. I eventually uninstalled the program entirely. I now use ComputPic. It is a bit more expensive than ACDSee with less functions. However, it is more stable and will not generate the database files that I hate!
