Quite good...

Pros: I never really liked Karpesky, but I love this app.

The Protection has got way better after 5 years and it is great,if not equal to NOD32(sadly,NOD32 is better, sorry Karpesky Labs). Giving away the detection, cleanup features, and REAL TIME PROTECTION of a top rated antivirus app, AOL has done a great move(first one in years). The detection rocks, has an automatic update function, a nice and easy to use interface and a mail protector.

It's file size is also quite small and it is very light on system resources.

Still, this app rocks and does very good work at detecting this even though it's really slimmed down. It is worth it I guess.

Cons: Real-Time shield doesn't realy remove stuff. Well, it does, but has not suceeded removing a puroty scan and a Win32 virus(identified as Advapi by the windows XP security log).

Adding places to scan can be annoying, it is not a drop down menu, and there's no custom scan, you have to find folders through windows explorer and then add them one-by-one.

If you have read the EULA it informs you that AOL HAS THE RIGHT TO SPAM YOU. But AOL hasn't spammed me for some time, just take care.

This Product is Pretty Great...

Pros: I have 8.(something) version (which came with my webcam on the CD) but i have checked this out too... it has 18 filters, great options, can write up to 1200x(something,not sure) at least for my webcam and this version allows to actually configure still image options. This comes for a good price, about the price of an average webcam and its features make it a good deal.

Overall this is more customizable and more configurable and its worth an upgrade from versions 8(includes 8) and down since this fixes loads of bugs and for a good price. If this came on the drivers CD for your webcam then check the version and update if its under 8(includes 8) because its worth it, trust me.

5 Stars product, must try.
