Great way to contribute!

Pros: I've been using SETI@Home since I first heard about it in 1996. It's been installed on various home computers (back when Intel and AMD were racing to beat the 200 MHz barrier) as well as computers at work. No contact with little green men yet... But you never know! Join a group and compete for most processing hours for a little fun.

Cons: With older/slower processors (under 1 Ghz) or little memory (under 512MB), don't leave it running full-time or you'll definitely notice. Great as a unique screensaver though.
