Pros: makes pdfs and combines pdfs (and haven't tested other aspects, but seems chalk full of options)
Cons: Besides wanting to download a free ps to pdf converting during install (but I chose not to and didn't seem to affect the program), I had to install pdfEdit995 in order to combine pdfs (i.e. WHY isn't it just all one package?).

Pros: Seemed like an OK and easy audio file converter and comes with optional programs like wave editor and soundtap (audio ripper), which work (but not to my liking)
Cons: couldn't convert DRM protected WMA files to MP3 (my whole reason for trying this software) and even tried the option SoundTap program, but it reduced the sound quality of my WMA when creating the MP3 and added an audio advertisement every 20 seconds to "buy soundtap".

Pros: works, no apparent spyware, uninstalls well
Cons: would be nice if they stated that the pro version ($) is the one that copies discs (clones cdroms), so besides easily creating .iso and burning .iso images, doesn't add the functionality I was looking for.

Pros: seems simple and promising (that it would record anything you can hear and is free)
Cons: didn't work with my sound card (not to say it wouldn't work for yours) and seems like you have to save the .wav file first (i.e first start recording), play or listen to the indended content, then edit the .wav (with some wav editor, not sure if included--in order to cut the beginning and end excess off), then convert to mp3 (which this program seems to do--but why not just right to mp3?).
