Crucial addition to any downloader's repetoire.

Pros: This is one of those gotta-have programs for the downloaders of the world. It handles zip and rar files like a pro and has the most features of any other program like it. In essence, it is the BIG DADDY of this type of software and not to have WinRar for a downloader is like not having MS WORD for a writer or PHOTOSHOP for a graphic artist. I just wish it was free.

Cons: I don't give 5 stars to programs that aren't free.

Amazing CD & DVD Burner

Version: 1.9.7

Sure it burns and it's free, but it's pretty much a waste of space.

Pros: Free, small, easy to use.

Cons: This program is definetly trying to be a low-end burner for quick setup and few features so that even of the lease experienced burner should have their "idiot-proof" solution. However, I think they shot too low. They could have put more features in and a better graphical user interface to make it more powerful and even easier to use. If you want a low-end, free burner, try Burn4Free.

Little Fighter 2

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

Pros: I'm going to have to go with C-Net's four star rating criteria here because it is dead on: "4 stars: Despite a few minor flaws, this program is generally excellent. I recommend this download." Little Fighter 2 is a really fun game that you can play for a minute between phone calls or for a half-hour when you have the time. It's a complete derivitive of the Mortal Combat, Street Fighter, Soul Caliber genre with 1 on 1 action and key combinations that generate special moves. However, this game is completely stripped down for quick play, low resource use, and quick learning. There aren't 50 moves per character...there are only about 12, but the smooth action makes this a fun game to master.

Cons: A few minor flaws...comes from the far east so there are some areas of text that are translated. Also, some of the menu buttons aren't labeled correctly. However, they don't impact the fun of this game.

Chord Pickout

Okay, it's not perfect--yet, but it's still a big help.

Pros: With a little music knowledge and this program, you can easily figure out any song. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's good enough for someone with enough music sense to knock out the chords in no time. It's still a very cool program that you should download the demo just to see it work.

Cons: Not perfect. It could lead you astray. Plus, it isn't free and I can't highly reccomend any program that will end up costing money.

Nero 7 Ultra Edition

The best cd/dvd authoring tool on the market.

Pros: It would take several pages to fully explain just how special this product is. For those looking for a complete suite for cd/dvd authoring, this is the one. The best thing about Nero is how simple the interface is. Although it can do EVERYTHING from data burns, music cds, movie dvds, copying, drive backups, etc, it is all layed out so that even a novice user can use the "wizard style templates" to complete any task. Another great thing about NERO is that you know that they'll be around for a while so it's a good product to invest in because there will continual updates and support for a long, long, time.

Cons: Not free! But certainly worth the purchase. If it was free, I'd give it 5 stars.
